Who we are

We are Coastal Code. Founded by Mark McDonald, a former agency Technical Director and experienced web developer of many years. Seriously, we don’t want to reveal his age, we’d rather let the grey hairs do that, but suffice to say Mark has been working with ASP.NET and the .NET framework from its early days and Microsoft’s classic ASP before that.

During his time Mark has led development and managed teams delivering projects of all sizes; from fantastic brand websites, social integration and competition mechanics to large scale CMS platforms with personalisation, marketing automation and CRM integration.

Together with his wife Claire McDonald, a former teacher with an eye for detail and superhero like powers in proofreading and copywriting, they run the business with the help of an amazing network of contacts, friends and highly talented individuals.
